2014 GO! St. Louis
Marathon & Family Fitness Weekend
April 5-6, 2014

 

Come run or walk for Team Second Wind in the 2014 GO! St. Louis Marathon & Family Fitness Weekend! As a part of Team Second Wind you will be playing a key role in the effort to support lung transplant patients. You commit to raise a minimum amount (listed below) which will be used to help support the Second Wind Assistance Fund which provides financial assistance to patients and families of pre and post lung transplant patients from Barnes-Jewish and St. Louis Children’s Hospitals.

You can choose to run or walk for Team Second Wind in any of the following GO! St. Louis events:
• Marathon
• Marathon Relay
• Half Marathon
• 5K

The 5K will be held on Saturday, April 5th, and the Marathon, Marathon Relay, and Half-Marathon will be held on Sunday, April 6th. As a part of Team Second Wind you will receive the following if you register by March 1, 2014:
Pre-race pasta dinner Friday, April 4thCancelled due to not enough funds at this time
Team Second Wind technical shirt Cancelled due to not enough funds at this time
• A personal fundraising page
• Training plans for any level
• Group runs on the weekend
• Free entry in the event you choose

Step 1: Getting started is easy!

(mandatory)
Fill out and check the Commitment Agreement below. Once we receive your information, you will receive an email with further race registration instructions, including a special charity code that will waive your registration fee.

Step 2: Register with GO! St. Louis

(mandatory)
We’ll provide you with the charity code, but we must receive your approved Commitment Agreement before you can move on to Step 2. Once we receive your Commitment Agreement, we will send you an email with the registration link and codes. Simply follow the instructions and register for one of the races listed above. Be sure to select Second Wind as your chosen charity team.

Step 3: Set up your fundraising page

(highly recommended)
After you registered for the race, you will receive a confirmation email. The email will provide a link prompting you to create your personal fundraising page on CrowdRise.com. You can customize your fundraising page, get tips, and share your story of why you are running or walking for Second Wind.

Minimum fundraising goals.

On behalf of those that are waiting for, or have gone through a lung transplant, thank you for choosing to run or walk for Team Second Wind! By choosing Team Second Wind, you will be helping to raise awareness of how important organ donation is and raising funds to help those that have, or are, going through the lung transplant process. As an essential part of the team, you are committing to a minimum fundraising amount by asking family, friends, and co-workers to help our cause.

The minimum amounts are:
Marathon: $250.00
Marathon Relay: $150 per person on team
Half Marathon: $150.00
5K: $75.00

In return for your dedication, Second Wind will provide your entry fee, a Team Second Wind technical shirt, training assistance, group runs, and much more if you register by March 1, 2014. Please provide the following information:
