These gatherings are primarily social and give our members and guests the opportunity to talk with others who have, “been through it”, about what the transplant process is really like. It is open to everyone. You do not need to be a member to attend.

The group is open to patients who are pre/post-transplant as well as their caregivers. We encourage patients who are returning for a re-evaluation and for post-transplant follow-up care to attend the group to introduce themselves. The structure of the group is to provide education, socialization, and support to those in the area either waiting for or who have received a transplant. We attempt to provide educational topics such as information on medications, medical care, and stress reduction as well as regular visits by Dr. Trulock and Dr. Patterson.
The group meets the first and third Wednesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Meetings are held on the 8th floor of the Center of Advanced Medicine (CAM) in suite G. Light refreshments are provided but we do not validate for parking. The group is facilitated by Rebecca Bathon, Social Worker, and the Transplant Team Chaplain. If you need any additional information, please feel free to contact the facilitators.

Before and After Support Group
This group is open to all persons who are on a transplant list, who have been transplanted, or who are waiting to be placed on a transplant list and their support persons.
Monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Monday, 6-7 p.m. at
